TYT: Which Countries Have Nuclear Weapons & How Many Do They Have? (Map)

Which countries have nuclear weapons and how many warheads do they have? The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks down a map from the BBC listing the stockpiles in the United States, Russia, Pakistan, Israel, China, the UK, France, India and North Korea - what about Iran and potential war?

You can go to jail for that, just ask Mordechai Vanunu.

What wasn't mentioned is that Iran does not have the capability to reach the continental United States as they do not have ICBMs and all signs point to the them not being able to develop this type of missile soon. It's not even certain that they could reach Israel using their current missiles.

it is interesting how a country with so many nukes of its own is so keen to keep other countries from possibly perhaps getting them,.

No nukes in Iran - we all know it, but it is always good to try to tell it to the populous, who might not even find the country on the map, if you even point it over for them - many americans have trouble finding other nations on a world map - even their own country on a world map. US is not exactly a small country to begin with.. It is important to "scare" the people to make it more plausible for going to war.. And no one can make propaganda as the US war machine..

Anyway, many nations have a lot of nukes, but thankfully they are under some control. No one want Iran to have nuclear weapon, I doubt even most iranians want that to happened, it cost a lot to have nuclear weapons on stock, and the security around nuclear weapons site have to be far stricter than around conventional sites..

But it is also important to point out here, and he also pointed out this - when Jr var busy breaking down Iraq after 2003, North Korea used the time, not just to finish their program, but also to explode a few nukes - and even their nabour, and only friend China got irritated over it, and was "not amused" even angry when they official spoken about the problem...

As it is, the "old nuke states" have the most nuclear weapons.. And both Russia and USA have tried, and Will continue to try to get the size of the stock piles down to a more secure level.. Russia could get rid of 50 percent, and even than have enough to blow up most of the world in a pinch.. The US would possible also reduce the stockpiles, and even than have enough weapons to do the same...
