Related: About this forumRing of Fire: The Fall Of The Tea Party
The Tea Party's recent rally to oust President Obama showed just how politically impotent the group has become. But it isn't just the Tea Party -- the Republican Party is becoming more and more irrelevant as the American public is beginning to see just how socially, economically, and politically backwards the party is today. Ring of Fire guest host Farron Cousins talks about this with attorney Howard Nations.

(5,364 posts)2. Polling data observation
Howard Nations referred to a poll whereby he said conservatives dominate but the trending data is against them. I disagree that they dominate. Those who called themselves conservative were 34%, Moderate 35%, Liberal 30%. Given the partisan nature of conservative ideologues, one can't just look at the conservative vs liberal numbers and conclude the conservatives are ahead: No, I see it as an issue of "34 percent are conservative, 66 percent are not".
So they'll likely be smaller, louder and meaner as time goes on, but they are crumbling.
