Also, amongst Republicans there is a myth that people will change their mind at the last minute because of a dirty trick.
It worked on Johnson and Carter.
Not any more.

(106,886 posts)2. I like voting in person and the election night hoopla, yet agree. My decision is made long before.
And agree with the premise in the OP. Voting be mail can help overcome some barriers to casting a ballot.
