He is paid exceptionally well to say that.

He is paid exceptionally well to deceive.

He is paid exceptionally well to lie.

It is a game to them.

He is a well paid poser.

My post applies to the majority of "journalist" on all channels in the main stream media.

The "news" does not have to be factual.

Isn't that a kick in the head.

What is the point of fictitious news except to manipulate the masses ?

In the last year or so, this once-great newspaper has been reduced to a shell of its former self, going from broadsheet to tabloid format and cutting home delivery to 4 days a week. Perhaps if they hadn't brought in a right-wing hack from Orange County as editor, and perhaps if they didn't give space to morons such as Krauthammer, they might be able to sell more newspapers in this largely liberal city. The last straw came for me in 2006 when I noticed that in the editorial pages they would indicate how many letters to the editor were for or against the Iraq War, and it was at least 8 to 1 against, yet the Oregonian chose to publish 1 against for every two for - not acceptable and not at all representative of its readers. But perhaps most indicative of the paper's decline is the tiny space it gives to important issues such as climate change; one instance I found in particular was a story about extreme drought in California which was buried in the back of the news section, while a full-page advertisement for an air conditioning system was on the 3rd page of the same section. And you can be sure they missed the irony in that.
