With even 50% sea rise the societal dislocations that go hand in hand with coastal land loss are as disruptive and consequential as imaginable. When population masses are forced into migration, war ensues. Starving masses moving even a few miles inland will have enormous impacts that can destabilize even countries as well constructed as ours. Anthropogenic global warming and it's brother in arms climate change is objective fact; this is simply beyond argument. What we do about it to mitigate the impact and long term consequences is now of utmost importance and the ignorant and deceivers have no place in the discussion.

Why do so many people take the time to show a factually questionable video to everyone without taking twenty seconds to see if showing it to everyone is just an exercise in spreading effing ignorance.
And people wonder why I have nothing but scorn for our public education system.

It's happening and only an idiot thinks otherwise. But I despise lazy ignorance.

I have no idea from what you speak of.

Are you saying this video has 'lies', that is the opposite of factual, sort of.

What do you consider as lies?

And your next post, which would have done you better if you had edited this one, shows everyone just how much of a 'believer' you are.

Dude..................

The video says a rise of 260 feet. Reliable sources say that if all the ice melted, we would see a rise of 216 feet.
I find it unhelpful to post panicky inaccurate videos from untrustworthy sources in order to form opinions that determine policy. And it is even more annoying when people devote their time and energy to post misinformation when it would barely take 20 seconds to determine if they are helping spread knowledge or if they are just another vector for freaken' stupidity.

Oh thank God it’s only projected to be 216 feet because 260 feet would be really bad. You are right; it’s really stupid to be worried about a sea rise of only 216 feet. I feel much better now.

A rise of 216 feet in sea level is plenty to worry about.
Spreading misinformation is stupid.
