IMO being vice president to Hillary would effectively neutralize her.

I would love to be voting for a non-Third-Way president.

One Senator can shut down the government and stop all legislation as we've seen the Republicans do time and again.

Congress would shape up very quickly. She is as good with numbers and as personable as Bill Clinton. But she is better than Bill because she is an expert on the economic reality of the American middle class.

Want to draw independent and Republican voters as well as Democrats? Nominate Elizabeth Warren.

Clinton is followed by a black cloud of Republican propaganda and scandal.

Ellizabeth Warren does not have that problem. Elizabeth Warren is a genuine, exciting, down-home personality as well as a brilliant academic. Perfect combination.

Elizabeth Warren is our winner for 2016.

If she has a speck of honesty in her, Hillary will be the first to acknowledge that Elizabeth Warren would make the best candidate our party can offer.

I will not vote for Hillary. I'm sorry but this country is not a dynasty.

No more Clintons or Bushes for me. President Obama was right, we need new blood and Sen Warren or Sanders will get my vote.

But the "realist" will claim that only a mainstream politician can win, in other words, a politician that supports most wars and sucks up to the rich.

If we follow the realists' lead, we will end up with another suck-up, John Kerry-type politician that stands for nothing and can't get the voters to the polls.

But the people that I like never get it.

IMO if she was asked to be VP to Hillary it would be to shut her up, and to try to appease those who dislike the Third Way.
VP to Hillary = marginalized
VP to a Grayson = partner

And Hillary is getting by on name recognition now, but wait until the Republican ad money starts spending on her defeat. Things could change very quickly.

Elizabeth Warren will draw the kinds of Republican voters who vote conservatively because they see their economic status declining. They are struggling. Elizabeth Warren speaks to them.

Hillary does not have the personal appeal of Elizabeth Warren. (Not as good a personality.) Nor does Hillary have such a credible and honest populist message. Hillary is too identified with the problems of the banker and Walmart class and with the problems of foreign countries.

Americans are hurting. Elizabeth Warren recognizes that hurt and speaks to it. She is formidable. There is no one in politics like her. She would easily take votes from any Republican candidate they put forward.

There's no way that the Dems will run 2 women on the same ticket I do not think. personally, I would LOVE to see it, but this would possibly open up dissent in the rank & file. Food for thought. Warren also said she would not run, so it may very well be a moot point. As long as it's a progressive in the WH, we'll be OK.

Have been a big fan of hers since I saw this video in 2008, before the "crash" that has finished off the bottom two thirds of Americans.

I would be really careful of who gets made her running mate. I could easily see the TPTB whacking the President to get their person moved up from VP to President.

Edit: I want to add that I have no doubt if McCain had won the election in 2008, he would have died suddenly and we'd have had a President Sarah Palin. No doubt in my mind at all about that. These are things we need to keep in mind.

Jesse Ventura says he wants Howard Stern for a running mate. He said no way would anyone assassinate him if it made Howard Stern President !

19. Leave Clinton off the ticket.

I know Clinton is up in the polls. But the polls at this stage are not worth much. Clinton has too much baggage. And any item of it could be knocked of the wagon by the Republicans, opened up and held to ridicule or worse. In spite of the name recognition and early polling results, in my view, Clinton is not a good choice for 2016.

Clinton does not appeal to the progressive activists I know. She is too much a part of the political establishment for 2016. (The economy and structural problems in our country are too troubling to Americans to run someone from the political establishment.)

And when attacked, especially when she feels she has been unfairly attacked, Clinton gets defensive. And Bill gets worse. Compare the Clinton reactions to attacks to those of Obama.

When people react publicly to public criticism defensively with anger as Hillary does, when candidates are sensitive to criticism as Hillary is, they do not do well. That was one of her problems in 2008. That year she had a big chance as a woman running for president. Obama won. Obama was cooler in his reactions and has a better sense of humor.

Elizabeth Warren also gets angry. But her temper tends to exhibit itself when she believes that the middle class is under attack or when she faces utter ignorance and injustice.

No to Hillary and yes to Elizabeth Warren in 2016.

All this talk about 2016 is distracting us from what we need to be doing this year to hold onto the Senate and take back the House.

Another thing.... Sure, I'd enthusiastically support Senator Warren should she decide to run. But come general election time I'm enthusiastically supporting whomever is the Democratic candidate.

All this talk about "I'll never vote for ...." is foolish, elections are about choosing whether you think A or B is closer to your view. Quite often, as hard as it is to stomach, elections are about choosing the lesser of two evils. If you refuse to make that choice you're essentially paving the way for the greater of two evils to grab power.
