Unfortunately, I wasn't able to withstand the condescension to get to the end.

I will try hard to avoid this video in the future.

Poking fun at Biblical literalists is low hanging fruit. But she does it so damned well. And the Biblical literalists do take this stuff quite seriously.

Best to ridicule it.

And if you want a kids story, Elisha and the bears is a pretty good one. Yup! He was bald, but you better damned well not mock him for it.

2:22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.

(2:23) "As he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head."

(2:24) "And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them."

2:25 And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.

It's not nice to mock people. You might get torn to bits by she bears like those 42 youths. And god approves of that. So you better be good.

Dun-Dun-Dunnnnnn!

Gotta be accurate if one is going to avoid being torn up by bears. And 42? That's a lotta kids who were making fun of him...

I've noticed that the "no religion" parts of DU forum guidelines are usually ignored, at least when the thread is bashing religion.

I posted about the Bible Story Jesus Christ Superstar, it was locked because it was about "showbiz":

But the showbiz thread about a Showtime trailor wasn't locked:
