wonderful pictures from his travels in Afghanistan, over the course of three decades or so, beginning in the early seventies. If you want to see really stunning images, look for Powell's book "Afghan Gold".

(and remembering Luke Powell now makes me miss ConsAreLiars, another amazing photographer)
