Gloria Steinem, who celebrates her 78th birthday today, has a message for women on why she thinks President Barack Obama is a strong advocate, and why we have to keep fighting for progress:

“He understands that women are absolutely full human beings. He has a good heart, a good mind, treats people with dignity, and represents the best in this country.”
