Love the life-long fuck-ups and criminals who 'find' Jeebus, then get to tell the rest of the world just how evil and sinful they are.

Went to school with a guy like that, he's currently a fanatical RWNJ fundamentalist bible-pounder who wears a sidearm while frothing at the mouth about all of us sinners going to Hell on the local cable public access channel.

He always sold the best dope in the entire county back in the day.

A lot of elitist neighborhoods wouldn't permit him to live there since he is a RSO. I also thought that convicted felons are allowed to be on the ballot.

I believe Reagan was the last governor to live in it. It's used as a site for official state dinners and the like.

The GOP could not have found a more qualified criminal to represent their party except maybe Daryl Issa .
After each immoral and criminal act he just asks Jesus to forgive him and then continues on with his criminal
activities just as his fellow brain dead supporters do every day in the GOP .

This guy might get a few fringer votes from the Central Valley and, maybe, the Imperial Valley and San Diego.

Might is the operative word.

But he's mere entertainment, and not a serious candidate. Enjoy the popcorn while you watch this Keystone Kops of a Kampaign.

And a dash of blood lust. All combined to create a socially acceptable warrior of god.It does sound better than angry gun nut for Christ who was previously incarcerated for murder and is a registered sex offender. Re-branding. From a dangerous creep to a missionary.

after all, in 1992, he was only 26, and in 1998, he was in his early 30s.

I mean, wasn't there a Republican congressman that got away with saying that about his affair, even though he was in his 50s at the time it happened?

It's full of religious idiots who'd sweep him into office on a wave of Huzzahs and palmetto palm branches. Look what happened to our own lovely Mark Sanford. Despite his shenanigans while in office, which including leaving SC to see his mistress without anybody knowing where he went and using tax payer money for the trip, he prayed and cried and repented his way back into office in the First District. Being sorry is all it seems to take here to get elected these days, and I mean that in both senses.

On second thought, y'all keep him. We've got way more than our share of this kind of evil, conniving, hypocrite.

Is one that runs to the religion as their last desperate attempt to turn their lives around. Because they are the most fanatical. Because they know how thin the tightrope is if they fall off again, especially if that means falling into raping and assault again. So they project their fear of falling onto everyone else, that the whole world will collapse if everyone doesn't do as he has done. They love that they have found a community that will blindly forgive them and put them on an equal footing with themselves no matter how gruesome a life they have led before.

I guess there is something noble about that but its also all centered around a belief in an invisible being holding it all together. In some instances I suppose if religion is the only thing keeping a would-be criminal in check, I have no problem with it. Its when they then think they are compelled to push their skittish paranoia and desperate self-delusion into the greater public arena that I have a problem with. Especially this type of radical extremist Christian who's passion does not come from any great desire to help others, but one of massive fear that he must always win any argument, even if he has to get loud and drown out others, because his own life is in the balance, held together by a magic thread.
