The Rubin Report: Noah's Ark Is Being Rebuilt

Thanks to the widely publicized debate between creationist Ken Ham and Bill Nye, Ham has raised enough money to build a $73 million replica of Noah's Ark.

The Ark is part of a proposed bible-themed amusement park in Kentucky and is expected to be finished by the summer of 2016.

Noah's ark is apparently really "in" right now -- the director of movies like Black Swan and Requiem For A Dream has a new movie out this month called "Noah" starring Russell Crowe. Watch a clip of the movie trailer for "Noah" in the video.

Do you think this park is harmless or will it just further teach creationism to children?

I believe the county either gave Ham money or guaranteed his loan.

Maybe we're going to need several, as in the movie "2012." I was SO disappointed when the world didn't end.

No way that the piece of crap that they are going to build is sea worthy. The park will be bankrupt within 5 years.

We could just send Republicans out into space.. OF COURSE...in about 1000 years they will become Romulans...probably...

It is an unlikely analogy, as the Romulans are closely related to the Vulcans, a race noted for their intellect and logic. A more apt comparison in the Star Trek universe is the Ferengi, a species republicans actually seem to emulate.

I can't believe he's spending 73 million dollars on this stupid frivolity. I put it right up there with his scenes of kids sitting next to flesh eating dinosaurs as if they were pets. What a huge Moran!

This implies that it existed in the first place! I'm still waiting on an explanation how a 3-Toed Sloth walked from wherever the Ark supposedly landed after the flood to his present day home in South America at 6.5 FEET per minute in between 20hr long naps! Or where all the water went to? Or how, in fact, Noah and his family managed to care and tend for more animals than in the largest Zoo in the world today that takes a staff of hundreds to maintain daily. All the special dietary needs of millions of species of animals..screw it..I'm done. If you believe this crap then you will believe anything!

God flushed?

Or how, in fact, Noah and his family managed to care and tend for more animals than in the largest Zoo in the world today that takes a staff of hundreds to maintain daily.
They were from the 1%, who obviously work much harder than the rest of us?

What gets me is that, with the exception of humans, every single species on earth would then be descended from a single breeding pair. And apparently since man learned how to build boats.

Will he be wearing a robe or a thigh-high toga?

The best voice for Noah since Charleston Heston!

Nobody but Russell could rescue and manage all these animals in the midst of a world-wide flood.

Should only take 3 people to build, and then Ken can find 25 million species of snakes and crocodiles and elephants and wild lions, and polar bears, nearby, and easily put them on the ark

As Bill Nye stated during the debates, that requires multiple new species everyday to generate the millions of species that are alive today.
