(3,284 posts)It will be interesting to see for how long RT tolerates her frankness on this issue.
But at this time...

Not saying Abby's perfect.
But until then, they are not equivalent.

(1,370 posts)MSNBC fired him for daring not to pick up the US media pompoms and question the BS we were being fed leading up to attacking Iraq.
The good news is people are growing tired of endless wars, especially when they have nothing to do with actually protecting them. And she's right, it's the people of the Ukraine and Russia who will suffer. Good for her, let's hope she lasts longer than Phil did...

(13 posts)First we have the paranoid tinfoil hats who thinks Putin is personally going to kill her the next day. But just because she works for a Russian (state?) company does not mean she works on Moscow. Surprise! She works out of the RT studies in Washington DC! I doubt Putin will get a visum to USA when the visa application says "Purpose of visit? To kill Abby Martin". Nah, if he wants to off her, there is plenty of US citizens who will do it for a handful of dollars.
Then we have this particular kind of fool who tries to be intellectual and tries to explain how a treaty of 1994 makes it okay for USA and UK to help defend Ukraine because Russia has broken the treaty. Doh! Go read the treaty. The promise to defend Ukraine only applies when Ukraine is threatened with nuclear weapons.
And we have the Russian apologists and fan-boys who crowe about how such uncensored, government-critical news are never allowed in western media. Of course they think that, because they don't actually watch western media that much. Hey, just go watch Fox News these days. It is one, daylong tirade of criticism of the US government.
