Last week my boss told me that we needed unions in the Depression, but after the 50s they were no longer needed, and it's only recently they've been needed again.

Yet capital never disbands its organizations when they're winning -- they just go bigger.

real labor history (not just in education, but in film and media), this would be a different country.

There are so many great stories, with real heroes, so much more heroic than any "Raiders of the Lost Ark" type fantasies.

But teaching kids to admire their own kind would be dangerous. They must admire tycoons and sports figures.

been corrupted and all politicians are serving their donors, approved and enabled by SCOTUS. Predatory capitalism is a system of the diseased gov't. The only cure is reform and accountability. Do we honestly believe they will ever serve their intended purpose? Of course they won't, not until we demand reform. Until then, it's just a game and we are losing.
