Citizens United ingrained fascism into our politics.

IMO, publicly financed elections is the only way to Democracy.

If it were the litmus test of both parties' politicians in this Congress, they'd all have to be replaced. But money in politics won't let that happen, anyway. Of those who get in by passing the voter litmus test, at least half of them will sell out while in office, and the process of getting a Congress willing to give up its owners will take at least a generation.
