Depressed Republican Pollster Hides In His Mansion

The Young Turks ·Published on Jan 6, 2014

"According to a new profile piece in The Atlantic, GOP pollster and frequent Fox News contributor Frank Luntz sunk into a depression following the 2012 election in which President Obama won re-election over Republican candidate Mitt Romney.

Luntz described himself as "less healthy now than [he has] ever been in [his] life," sleeping two or three hours at a time and fretting over the future of his career in political consulting...".* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

- I must say I'm surprised. I thought Republicans only got depressed about money and birf certificates.....

I have no use for him. He of all people dares to say that Obama is responsible for the toxic atmosphere in DC????

I don't think this is medical. It is the consequence of a deflating ego. A megolomaniac who is faced with the fact that he couldn't be the ultimate puppet master.

His game was manipulating people, and it stopped working for him.
That is the kind of depression I like to see more of...I have the no sympathy for manipulating and controlling people...at least when it is but hurt because they failed.

I want the power company to shut it down and let him use that fireplace(s) for real heat and not ambiance. "Let me you a story about a man named Jed..."

Because there is a damned difference between clinical depression caused by a chemical imbalance or condition and someone feeling sad because something bad happened to them.

When a relationship went south for me I felt sad and despondent. When I have lost loved ones I have occasionally isolated myself and felt empty and a bit depressed.

He found out he couldn't lie to people anymore and trick poor people into operating on themselves with chainsaws.

I do not feel even a spark of empathy for him.

As someone who has spent most of his life in the ranks of the working poor I would say Schadenfreude is all I feel. May Frank Lundtz rot in his damnable mansion.

He has condemned hundreds of millions to suffering by helping to succesfully spin "climate change" into being not such a big deal. Yeah, my sympathy will be for those that are displaced, starving, sick, tired, and desperate.

It's not "How could I be so wrong!?!?!"

It's "Why isn't David Gregory returning my phone calls!?!?!"

Luntz just realized that his sell-by date has come and gone. Maybe he realizes the scale of the damage he has helped to inflict, but I doubt he really cares. Sociopaths only "care" in mid-grift.

Fuck Frank Luntz.
