Rachel Maddow: Storm shelter issue riles Oklahoma politics

This is about the tornado victims in Moore, OK, & their need for storm shelters. The current governor, for some unknown reason, is resistant to allow federal funding that could be made available for that purpose.

There's some good news at the end:

Oklahoma State Rep. Joe Dorman, (D), talks with Rachel Maddow about how his fight for more storm shelters has led him to consider a run for governor.

Absolutely! How long has it been since OK had a Democrat for Governor? I mean a REAL Democrat? All politics is local. As a matter of fact, what other red state governors are up for election in the next few years? Any governor against gun control, against tornado shelters in tornado alley, against public education, against ACA-Medicaid funding, against teachers, is not on children's side and needs to be turned out.

The state has been taken over. It hasn't always been this way.
We are the state of Fred Harris, Mike Synar, Carl Albert etc.

It's been a gradual change... I blame all the mega-churches who found a home here. LOL - and I joke too, all the Texans who moved here.

The governor has a good reason to reject federal funding. He knows the Tea Party votes, and school children don't.
