A few years back Round Rock ISD spent $35 M for a new stadium and then said they didn't have the money to give the staff(custodians, janitors, cafeteria workers) even a 1% raise.

I'm not anti-sports, but I don't think sports should have priority over a young person's education. Why the hell do they need all of this extra crap?

are the teachers and support staff making a sustainable, living wage? are there decent art and music and other enrichment programs? are the students learning well, making the best grades? are there enough textbooks, library books? are the buildings and grounds energy-efficient?

insane, just. . .insane.

...the money themselves. Rather than have everyone in the town pay for it through their taxes.
