2. Paul's explanation:
Tue Oct 29, 2013, 11:00 AM
Oct 2013

"The Nation is in a crisis and I have more important things to be concerned about than these trivial allegations."

And Fox News reportage on the subject: ".............zzz........"

Trust me on this one. Paul is a d-bag liar and, now we know, plagiarizer. No, wait, his speech writers are plagiarizers, which is even worse because it means he's paying someone to produce plagiarized words that he will claim as his own. So he's too lazy and uninspired to do his own cheating!

But Paul is not Joe Biden, he's a Republican and, therefore, mass media will hardly whisper about the story -- and Fox, of course, won't even do that.

(And Joe, by the way, was "exposed" by that sad sack of a Democrat, Mikey Dukakis. it was a pure bull twaddle "expose", but the media loved it and it got Mikey the nomination which anyone -- anyone -- but a dullard like Mikey would have used to beat George H.W. Bush and gain the White House for the Dems after 8 horrible, sad, sickening years of St. Ronnie. But Mikey was a clueless amateur who I still cannot believe lost the presidency because he had even less of a TV presence -- and backbone -- than his lackluster opponent.)(There, I got that out of my system. Biden would have beaten Bush easily if not for Dukakis and some twerp named "Sasso" spinning exaggerations about the so called plagiarism issue.)

3. Sexual politics is the only thing they have left, as it's based on 'magical thinking.'

The reasoning in these versions of Christianity has consistent ring. It's how they justify running roughshod over perfect strangers they refuse to be responsible for, but insist they have the right to rule their lives in intimate ways.

They oppose marriage equality, abortion and the social safety net as they think they and the nation will be forgiven for our many sins by forcing others to live the way they think they should. They should be watching their own actions and what they are doing to others, first.

Instead, they tell others that they need to be 'saved,' but it's their own fate now and in hereafter they are looking to protect. They're not saving anyone but themselves.

If they can stop others from doing what they call evil in their self-rigtheousnes, gawd will give favor to America and them. Theocracy is their version of patriotism and they believe its their right and duty to force others for heavenly favor and their own personal success.

It's their key to survival, or so they think. Very hard to get through at that level. This is their carrot for believers and tney will keep that voting block satisfied.

JMHO.

Forty years later - the existence of the Tea Party is evidence that eugenics never made it past the 60's...

11. I'm not so much concerned that lifted a wiki article about Gattaca.

What bother's me is that he thinks Gattaca is the logical end to allowing for a woman's right to choose.

of anything for her work since at least 4th grade. So, Rand Paul is not even worthy of passing a 4th grade class in Connecticut?

13. Perhaps the strangest and most frightening thing here is not the plagiarism.

That's bad, but the good senator falls victim to the "If it's in a movie it must be true" fallacy. I've seen that far too often. Many people, and apparently Rand Paul is one of them, simply cannot distinguish between fact and fiction.

as long as it suits their purposes. Throw in the periodic need for expediency and there is no alternate reality that will not be exploited.

Their followers will never know the difference.
