THIS is exactly why Alan Grayson should never apologize for his remarks. bullwinkle428 Oct 2013 #2
Instead of telling Alan to retract his comments, demand the Tea Party disavow the Klan. Spitfire of ATJ Oct 2013 #3
Disavow the Klan? Nah, that too easy for them. Jack Rabbit Oct 2013 #4

In 1984, President Reagan received an endorsement for his re-election from the Klan. The architects of the GOP Southern Strategy wasting no time disavowing it. The Republicans disavowed the Klan and trumpeted the disavowal as a virtue. The MSM, already in the tank for Reagan and, in fact, still in it, went along and made sure everybody knew the Reagan re-election campaign and the GOP had disavowed the endorsement of the Ku Klux Klan.

Not once in 1984 did I hear anyone ask what Reagan might have done to get the Klan's endorsement in first place.
