Jon Stewart took on conservative pundit Charles Krauthammer on Wednesday night over the state of the Republican party, with Stewart arguing that the GOP is too obsessed with their anti-government agenda they are bringing “chaos” and “lethargy” to the political system, and taking it as a victory for their side.

..His breathing seemed labored, and he just did not look well.

I read in the comments on mediate.com that he is in a wheelchair...this I did not know, but that does explain why he was already seated when Jon introduced him.

As far as his breathing - he's had trouble breathing ever since I first seen him on TV several years ago.
Mostly likely due to being in a wheelchair for so many years.
