The government has chosen to define "militant" as any military-aged male who happens to be in an area where a drone is likely to be fired. Kind of reminds me of the "logic" in the Vietnam: if we killed them, they must have been VietCong. Colin Powell actually defended a common helicopter gunship practice in those years: if they saw a military-aged man in a field they would fire near him. If he stood and allowed himself to be shot at, he was judged to be a civilian. If he ran, he was judged to be VietCong and killed.

One guy in Afghanistan got wiped out because he was loading cucumbers on a truck and some clown thought the cucumbers looked like some kind of explosive device.

Our reckless war policies are creating tens of thousands of orphans who will grow up swearing revenge on the USA.

One should be aware, they don't ask for an id, they take a picture from the sky. Like that of the now dead three little kids that were digging in the dirt, hardly military age. Many undernourished, and, I expect, look older than they really are after living under the threat of our "sudden death from the sky" for many of the years they have been alive...

Here's a partial list, 8 months old, and only Pakistan and Yemen..

A List Of Children Killed By Drone Strikes In Pakistan and Yemen

A Marine Times article on December 3 ran the alarming headline “Some Afghan kids aren’t bystanders," reporting on the death of three children in Afghanistan. They were apparently targeted by a U.S. military drone because they appeared to be digging a hole in a road.
...
While it is ultimately impossible to get exact numbers, this means that for every "terrorist" killed by a drone strike, anywhere between 10 and 50 civilians are killed.
...
Obama has authorized 193 drone strikes in Pakistan – four times the amount authorized by George W. Bush. According to Global Research, over the past four years, Obama has authorized attacks in Pakistan which have killed more than 800 innocent civilians and just 22 Al-Qaeda officers.

That constitutes at least 36 civilians per target.

I would bet that the ones who are left never forget. I wonder what one pissed-off chemist or biologist could do that would never be caught by all our "technology", which maybe could have been avoided if we treated them with any respect at all.

I guess we gotta leave future generations something, eh?
