You know, I really hate to see people in trouble. But when it's self-inflicted and based on complete idiocy and WILLFUL ignorance for the sake of a narrow unrealistic bubble-world ideology that's built on partisan bullshit, it's hard to find any sympathy for these people.

(9,933 posts)Who are openly against disaster aide and think the federal government should not play such a role. Do they understand that?or do they think it's the administrations desire to withhold from them specifically like the poor misguided tea partiers that voted for reps who shut down the government but think the parks and memorial closings are something the administration did just to spite them?

(11,994 posts)for receiving $3,028,152 in farm subsidies from 1995-2009. Seems all her teabagging relatives have moved back to the family farm to cash in on the subsidies.
The Farm Bill expired in 2011, but instead of electing a Rep to look after their own best interests, the farmers and ranchers voted for a teabagger more interested in limiting women's health care and discriminating against gays.
Better get those big tractors out and start digging holes to bury the cattle. You get what you pay vote for.

(5,103 posts)You are heard shouting support for anti-government loons, voting for obstructionists, electing people who only care about the second ammendment and none of the others.
You are heard while shutting down womens health centers and while passing laws to disenfranchise minorities and other left leaning voters.
You are heard when you place your god ahead of living Americans who need food or medical assistance, as if your god would approve.
We just got tired of the bullshit and stopped listening!
Maybe Oklahoma can help you out. They feel the same way as you.
Good luck with that!

(208 posts)How DARE Congress give us what we wanted!
It's like voting against a referendum on a new firehouse and then complaining when your own house catches fire.
They also probably complain the most about "big government" and "freeloaders" while not considering that agriculture is heavily subsidized through federal crop insurance and that most red states get more from the federal government than they pay in taxes.

(1,415 posts)WASHINGTON - The political tempest stirred up by Superstorm Sandy appears to have moved on after wreaking havoc among House Republicans divided over how much aid to allocate to the victims of the storm ... House Democrats supported the aid package in large numbers, but substantial Republican backing was needed for its passage in the GOP-controlled House. Among the Republicans voting against it was South Dakota Congresswoman Kristi Noem.

I feel bad for the surviving Democrats in such areas who did not drink the poison kool-aid from talk radio and the Tea Party. They will all do without now. Just like all Americans who voted to stand for equality and fair play for all.

And he drug down all the Democrats in his same area to satisfy the GOP and Tea Party. I've lived in cattle country and it's a hard way of life, but there is a primal force at work, being close to nature, which cannot be denied. I never saw people of any party fight against the government that funded their Farm Bureaus and roads to convey their goods, rural electrification, and a fair price. Why did this man vote for haters when there was nothing wrong with the system of help?
