"A teacher with messy hair named Jack Bangert" (OWH, 5-18-13) is the guest of Sarpy Outlook. Bangert is the Dual Language Coordinator and Academy Coordinator at Omaha's South High School. In this interview with Peg O'Dea Lippert he describes the program, the academic success of the students and their high college attendance rate. He discusses his recent visit with school administrators in Mexico and the encounter with USA English speaking students who are in Mexico due to parents' return, often because of deportation. Bangert is past Associate Chair of Sarpy County Democrats.
