The Republicans ruined the world last time around in the 1920s - now they are doing the same with the current economy - even as it was an Republican in charge last time around - now it is more on purpose than ever that they want to ruin the US economy - and the world economy if it suits them...

They must be stooped - and hold accountable - as they are destroying the last 80 years of progress if US defult....

Fourteenth Amendment, Section 4, opening sentence:

"The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned."

I don't know how much clearer that can be stated. President Obama is charged with enforcing The Constitution and he should take whatever action is within his power to obide by that clause. Congress can't claim the power to defy The Constitution. Why isn't the media bringing this up? With a stroke of a pen he can eliminate the debt ceiling on the grounds of complying with the 14th. He knows this.

Unfortunately, the majority of Americans, and all FOX viewers, are completely ignorant of what is in the Constitution. The GOP is already in breach of The Constitution and few realize that. The GOP counts on that.

Ed did a very good job of busting that idiot up, but he didn't bring up the obvious. The discharge petition has the votes. The only reason that Boner won't bring it up for a vote is because he knows it will pass. There's no other explanation.

And, as a side note to Section 4, why aren't we suppressing the insurrection and rebellion of the teabaggers? Inquiring minds need to know.
