Our national media are corrupt to the core b/c the owners of these outlets are defense contractors such as GE. How do you fix that? Well, they use the public airwaves so then we look at the FCC. The FCC has been co-opted by the industry so it needs to be gutted, the regulatory statutes need to be reviewed. Will Obama and the Democrats do that? In a word, NO!
That is part of the problem, and that is why chief White House correspondent tool from MSNBC, Chuck Todd, says it's not his job as a reporter to correct falsehoods aired by guests on their shows and point out the facts! We live in a completely fucked up country that has allowed itself to be taken over by the extremely wealthy while (most of) the rest of its citizens live in ignorance.
