(113,527 posts)"pinkie" (a movie review of b, c, and d movies in, if I remember correctly) the san francisco chronicle. the reviewer was named billy jim bob, or something similar. they were absolutely hilarious. a standard line was something like, "well, this one is going directly to mst3k".

(3,541 posts)the boys got to go outside and play baseball....and we girls had to go in the auditorium and watch the movie.
I remember being pissed that I couldn't go play ball.....had to watch the stupid and embarrassing film.
Times were sure different then.

(53,235 posts)There was no discussion in classrooms about menstruation and no discussion in the family. My mother sent for the kit and gave it to me, I knew how to read, and that was that.

(7,349 posts)Reminds me a little of the film we saw - only it was about reproduction in general, not just menstruation. It was quite confusing - lots of birds and bees and butterflies.
A group of mothers got together and showed it to a bunch of us kids at the Club - I'll never forget it. It was an occasion of much hilarity and we all got into trouble. It was so worth it though!
