This is one of the shameless things that the American people allowed to happen and continue to allow to happen. We need a complete overhaul of the system and let the native American people run the programs themselves who knows better what has been going on to their people.

I think that Native Americans have to understand that what happened to them has happened the world over.
Ask those of us with Celtic ancestry. And that brings me to my one disagreement with Means.
While I agree that English is not that expressive by comparison to may indigenous languages, that does not mean that all western languages are bland. Gaelic is incredibly expressive and with a rich history of story telling that has not been stamped out, though not for lack of trying....

I even sent money to AIM (American Indian Movement) many years ago. They sent me a T-shirt and a Russell Means tape. I do not have any Native American roots, but I have always been an advocate for their rights. And I am outraged at the atrocities that my white ancestors have committed against them.
