She was going along to get along and doing what she was supposed to. I don't know what the health issue is - but he triggered something in her when he did that. Zero compassion for those who are the weakest among us sucks.

And she did by quickly striking out. Some adults believe that kids are faking it and become impatient with them, but that's no excuse to hit like this officer did or to hit at all.

He grabbed her arm and bent it back.

This was in Florida? Does "stand your ground" apply if you are defending yourself against a cop? She did seem to have reasonable fear that he would harm her.

At least.

I have had some problems with those using them. Boy do they end up with some serious trouble on their hands.

is OK because she struck first. She was lucky. Police shoot people and use the same excuse for far less provocation. Such as: The officer felt threatened. The suspect had what looked like a weapon. The suspect failed to comply. The suspect resisted arrest, and on and on. The police are dangerous. If you resist them or fail to do what they say quickly enough to suit them, you have given them all the excuse they need to hurt you worse than they might have otherwise, especially if you are perceived as a member of a powerless group or the officers are steroid abusers.

That police officer committed assault and should be held accountable. But in America, if you try to stop the police from breaking the law, you are the one who gets punished.

A)Force all police officers to wear helmets with video cameras at all times while on duty. Video cameras on their guns and tazers too.
B)Remove police oversight from the police departments.
C)Dramatically increase the punishments for corrupt police officers
