(22,666 posts)asking why us govt and EPA is afraid of the gas industry. After watching Gasland 2, there's no doubt they absolutely are.
Of course it's greed and huge sums of money going to campaigns.
I keep telling people, it's not "big government" we need to fear. It's Big Corporations. The idiots still sucking down the Tea Party/John Birch Kool-aid of course remain clueless.
Some of the families in Gasland 2 were certainly not liberals. When the shit hit THEM, they finally grok'd some clues though, one of them leaving the GOP to register as an independent.
Problem is, things have to hit rock bottom for too many people before they goddamn GET. A. CLUE. And of course the rest of us go down with them until or unless they learn.

(769 posts)The drinking water from frack shale are very unsafe to drink and consume. Some claimed that they can use the fracked water to power the small motors like lawn mower and gas-powered weed whackers.
So, is the water safe to drink?
