song came out of her personal experience of being on tour in the deep south and driving by the aftermath of a lynching of black people. That's right, still hanging and rotting. The 50's and lynching has been relegalized in 2013. What a shame on amerikkka.

There's so much evil in the world. But Zimmy won't go scott free. There's still civil court and federal court too. And if he's not locked away somewhere, he'll have to remain in hiding, justifiably fearful for his own rotten life. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes at all.
