Corporations Own Our Courts

The following interview originally aired on the June 23rd, 2013 episode of Ring of Fire on Free Speech TV. Its been more than three years since the disastrous Citizens’ United ruling was handed down by the US Supreme Court, and the effects that unrestricted corporate money have had on our elected politicians has been terrible for our democracy. But the branch of government that often gets overlooked when it comes to following the corporate money trail is the judiciary, and the effects of corporate money are just as apparent in the judiciary as they are in the other branches of our government. Ring of Fire guest host Farron Cousins discusses this with attorney Mike Burg.

is not going down as planned. Way too much invested. Congress needs to take it's silly time and check the medications and mental stability of itself and the SCOTUS. And I do not believe that this President has any interest in my boring life!

This is how it goes with the Dancing Supremes. They were appointed and look at what a pack of rats they are.

So where do these corporate elites get the money to buy off our judges? From our broken and corrupted capitalist economic system. Change our economic system so a handful of greedy men can't accumulate more wealth than a nation. If wealth and riches were NOT the primary motivator for most people than bribing judges and politician wouldn't work so well. If people had safe secure lives where one illness could not wipe out an entire family, than people would start being motivated by other things besides money. People would be free to act on their morales and conscious and NOT profit and greed.
