(662 posts)I was very disappointed to hear Mr. Fugelsang indicate that gay people who don't vote for Obama must be greedy bastards looking for a tax cut.
Although I am not gay I believe that many gay people may choose to vote for a third candidate other than the Republican or Obama because they are interested in peace, eliminating torture, restoring the rule of law and the civil liberties lost under Bush/Obama, punishing the Wall Street bankers for their financial transgressions, etc. etc.
I am appalled at the racist language I hear used against President Obama and his family. I am aghast that the electorate is ignorant enough to believe those who call the President and his policies 'socialist' when most of those policies are guaranteeing that the corporate cabal which currently pushes us closer and closer to facism will continue to do so.
But just because the Republicans hate Obama for all the wrong reasons doesn't mean I have to support him or his policies which in my opinion do nothing to further the true security and safety of the country but in fact are guaranteeing that we will face the hardships ahead woefully unprepared.
