Are they trying to influence the election. Surely not.

He doesn't look at all poor to me--rather well fed, in fact.

I just can't waste precious moments listening to a jerk from the Heritage Foundation. His lot are the one percent responsible for "poverty in America" to no small extent. They caused the joblessness, the homelessness and the hunger....fuck 'em.

Regardless of any political leanings, the video was... enlightening for me. It's one thing to read statistics, to hear about it on the news, it's another to see the people and hear them... when that little girl (somewhere around halfway through, in the class room) said her mother had to eat rats, I almost cried. Might have, but I think my anti-depressants prevent me from crying, for the most part.

Robert Rector is creepy - so is the Heritage Foundation, this video just further demonstrates how creepy.

I often wonder.. given our economic difficulties right now, our issues with healthcare as well... is Britain in better shape? France? Germany maybe? I've read plenty of conflicting accounts, I wonder if anyone from Europe here could shed some light on the subject though...

Our News Media is not reporting on these tent cities and the children starving

if they did we might be upset at the selling of hops and corn to China

Why is our crops going to other nations when children here are starving and eating rats?

In Europe they have healthcare but housing is extremely expensive
I think the BBC is trying to show the Brits how the American Empire is crumbling very similar to
British Empire failure

Britain has its poor
that's why we saw riots in Britain

While there is a serious poverty problem, you aren't going to get a real gauge of it from Hilary Andersson. Just enough tragic stories to boost her career and leave people asking "why isn't something being done?!?" The one way to figure out the economy is on the skids? She doesn't have to go to Third World countries like Niger to get footage for her sensationalism. If you really want to see behind one of her stories, watch the following:

(You have to get to part 3 before they begin to dissemble her MO.)
