TYT: Police CHOKE 14-Year Old Holding Puppy for 'Dehumanizing Stares'

"The mother of a 14-year-old arrested over Memorial Day weekend on a Miami beach is accusing police of brutality, after officers forced her son to the ground and put him in a choke hold. Police accuse the teen of "clenching his fists" and giving officers "dehumanizing stares."*

Miami police slammed and choked 14-year old Tremaine McMillian. Why? Was it the threat he posed by walking away? The puppy he was holding? The lack of being armed? The "dehumanizing stares" he made at them?

Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, and Ben Mankiewicz break it down.

Could they have possibly talked with the boy and tried to reason with him? Could reasoning with him possibly helped him to see something positive about police? No, no... just jam the hatred deep down into him and add 10 times as much to boot.

So clenching fists is now illegal? No, it's called protest, and last I heard peaceful protest was allowed in America.

I know all and even most police officers are not idiots like these, but the few that we have heard about lately are going to cause a backlash of aggression in generations to come and that will be very unfortunate for all of us. Sometimes I think there's some motive in these ugly police events, but that's not likely.

and;

1: I don't have the right to criticize because I don't know the facts of the case.
2: Police have a hard job and require a few liberties.
3: If I criticize police, promise to never call 911 if I need police

enraged look on that cop's face. Sheesh! Looks like he's going to club somebody with one of those milk bottles. If he didn't want to deliver the milk, he should have said so.

It must have been some stear - if a grown police officer, with a weapon, got scared by a 14 year old boys looking at him...

I think this police officer need to get down to earth - and not floating around up there in the cloud - and maybe do a better job - if he have a job after this debacle is over....

The cop must have some serious mental health issues if he believe a 14 years stear is dangerous to his life.... But then again, many officers of the law, should not be any near a uniform and a job where you have to interact with the public - in fact many who is police should be screened out long before they got in a uniform and are allowed to patrol the streets..

I'm not sure how it works in the states - but here in Norway many is rejected because of their psychical profile long before they are allowed to go out on the streets to patrol - and you should be rather stable psychically if you want to be a police officer at all - in Norway, the national police academy have strict regulations - and it is not easy to get in, to start the education at all...

The boy's felony trial begins July 16. I can imagine the questioning:

Why did you arrest my client?
Because he was resisting arrest.
But why were you arresting him?
He was resisting arrest.
Why were arresting him in the first place?
I don't understand the question.
