Papantonio: Corporations Cashing In On Climate Change

Recent studies have proven that climate change is real, occurring now, and is being caused by human activity. But rather than try to fix things, corporate America has decided that climate change is a great way to make a quick buck, so they’re cashing in on the projected devastation. Ring of Fire host Mike Papantonio fills in for Ed Schultz to talk about this with author and journalist Alex Zaitchik.

Both Koch brothers are making the money in record numbers since beginning of 2013, both earning well over $18 billion of dollars each while lay off more than 7,000 workers (these workers' averaged salary was $66,000 a year for total of $462,000,000 a year) while blaming Obama for that. $462 million of dollars that Koch brothers clearly can afford to lose for the sake of providing the sustainable salary for the middle class Americans. But nope, they would rather to use these money to bribe and buy out the politicians in legal ways as possible.

the Moore,OK tornado. I didn't hear talking heads saying, 'ok we've reached 400ppm AND had this horrific weather event we must NOW do blah, blah....to slow or advert such future events'. Instead they talked of protection from such storms almost admitting they will be the new norm. Yep, there's money to be made that's for certain. Just so no one takes me wrong: I strongly believe in storm shelters and safe rooms. It's only that there was little, if any, counter balance talk. imho

On a more hopeful note: If you didn't see the video posted yesterday, it's well worth the watch. Thanks to KurtNYC-- http://www.democraticunderground.com/10022895916
