The powers that control our country own the media, Congress, the Judiciary, and yes, even the Executive branch! Holder will not go after any bank or big corporation. Scalia and Thomas are big Koch suckers, Obama gave BP a pass as well as the U.S. Coast Guard and appoints Wall Street crooks over our financial system, a democrats seem to have congenitally weak spines to explain why they roll over for Republicans (Harry Reed and his repeated handshake deals with McChinless over filibuster reform)... Quit rooting for Democrats as if they are your team! They are not a sports team! When your team commits a foul or penalty you overlook it, when your politician takes a dive on a bill he should be against he/she is defended or at worst called a spineless Democrat! No, he was bought the F off! I am a Progressive who took off the blinders. I have watched BP control the media message, buy off Obama, escape with a couple of low level guys going to jail and they will pay a big fine. They have screwed the victims with a BS "class action settlement." You cannot believe how far their money can corrupt the system. Now think of all of these companies and their money flooding into Washington. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has been working their plan since Reagan. They adopted a ground up approach of state and local elections to control which politicians develop and move up and which ones don't. Same for judicial elections. It was the long con and it has been paying dividends ever since!

America did in this century have a modern day Murrow in the form of Keith Olbermann.

That Keith now languishes in obscurity is a tragedy for what's left of our democracy.

I thought his departure from MSNBC was truly noble. But his leaving Current - when you consider yourself a Ferrari, forced into being pent up by freeway creep..... you hang in there for the sake of emulating Murrow. You hang in there - knowing you're a respected and adroit hand mirror that aims sunlight into dark corners where roaches tend to gather. Where is he now? We know he's not deceased.
