Big Pharma controls our Oval Office occupant, and almost everyone in Congress.
We pay so much mire than we should for our meds, and yet we have so little assurance that the personnel at the hospitals will do right by us.

MIL in hospital over the weekend. In very weak condition to begin with, some nurse or some tech didn't apply the IV correctly, and all the drugs went through the skin into her arm, not into her body! This is bad enough, but when J. complained of pain in her arm, not one but two RN's ignored her. (Old ladies always complain about pain - so why not ignore them!)

This is what we get from having a government and industry that through the revolving door policy, never gets any real reforms in place regarding health care.

And so often the personnel in hospitals, at least here in California, only has a very low bar in place as far as who gets hired. Often the ID processing doesn't happen at the facility but is farmed out to other places, so people use relatives' ID's to work and don't get caught by the system.Especially in areas where workers from other countries are put in place of nurses here. And often, the Administration of the hospital gets to reduce LVN's and RN's and put nurses' aides in their places. Many of whom don't understand much English. This despite state laws requiring fluency of personnel who work in hospitals and in nursing homes.

...who have blocked Medicare Part E, aka HRH 676.

Plenty of Democratic politicians are bought by Big Pharma.

Remember when the Affordable Care Act was being hammered out? Remember when single-payer advocates were excluded from even taking part in the initial negotiations? Hardly anyone, on either side of the aisle, wanted to hear what they had to say. It makes them extremely uncomfortable.

The American people are being ripped off left, right and center. It's tragic.
