Maybe governments will have to give each citizen a pension from birth or a guaranteed minimum income hopefully with a "livable income".
The corporations wont have labor costs any more so they would hopefully agree to this just to maintain their consumer base.

Given that these machines are going to be owned by corporations, and corporations have the money to buy politicians, I can't imagine who would influence government to take money away from corporations and give it to people, after corporations worked so hard and so long to figure out a way to not give people any money.

those who have jobs generally work *more* hours than 20 years ago?

We already know the answer to this. The wealthy will take the vast majority of the benefits even if it means massive starvation. Unless we change the paradigm.

...maybe they won't have enough money for robots? On the other hand, people are unlikely to stop buying crap because most people don't know what else to do.

- It's what they were bred, educated and trained for. What's even more bizarre, this is the system we're trying to preserve......

And they'll start a new superior version of the human species based on Darwinian principles of survival of the fittest, and filtration. And the fittest will be defined as those who are the wealthiest. And the wealthiest will continue to control the legislative process, and also the meaning of the word fittest. And wealth, being the ultimate distinction between a fit and an unfit human being, will continue to advance the elite in this pattern.

Have we now officially crossed the robotic Rubicon?

I guess they will come in handy for running the euthanasia parlors, ey?

People really "liked' this video. Hmmm. A bit premature? Or are we all going to get our robotic dividend via a negative income tax? Yeah, right. That's a screamer! You bet. Just wait.

He's an anarcho-capitalist. (Note the yellow and black iconography and Voluntaryist logos)

So. He might be raising a valid point or maybe not. Either way, he's a bit like Rush on the right-left spectrum and credibility scale.
