(18,998 posts)And if there is a conspiracy what better place to hid it than in a big pile of shit.
But right...the burden of proof is on the one that makes the charge...however once you can label it a CT then no evidence that proves it can or will be accepted...(if you believe that then you believe it all is instantly applied.)
Beck and Jones play an important part in keeping the truth covered up with shit.

(1,639 posts)Aren't exactly full on whack job conspiracy nuts in my opinion...
I think that's just a role they play.
I think they are just your normal con-men type assholes that use fear and paranoia to sell whatever snake oil they're peddling.
They're just more practiced at using the conspiracy crap angle in their cons.

"Prove me wrong!"
All the rules of logic say "Show us your evidence, prove you are right."
But the accusers put the onus on those that are being accused.
And guess what!
Shit happens.
Two punks who got their "radical Islam" views from Internet web sites got instructions off the same Internet on how to make bombs.
Those bombs went off in Boston.
A bunch of fundy Muslims hijacked 4 airliners, 3 of them hit buildings, 1 plowed into the ground.
(No "nano-thermite" or other imaginary explosive needed.)
An anti-government, racist anti-Semite blew up an Oklahoma City federal building.
"Pro-life" radicals shoot and kill people who are involved in abortion, even receptionists at the buildings.
There was no "big conspiracy" to kill JFK, RFK and MLK.

(3,529 posts)But the problem I've noticed is you'll read one book supporting a conspiracy, like "High Treason" and walk away convinced that it had to be an inside job involving several assassins, and then you open a book arguing for the lone-shooter theory, like "Case Closed" and realize that maybe it ain't so. What I've noticed (esp. in reading "Case Closed" is that often any argument raised that DOESN'T support their theory is often not even touched on.
There are often at least 2 sides to every argument. As a Libra I've felt this very deeply. Even though I don't really believe in that astrology stuff! 8-)

(1,259 posts)Over-generalized. I hate this attitude that conspiracy theorists are all illogical idiots. It's just not the case and it does a disservice to people who have legitimate questions about certain events.

(1,259 posts)he's way too stupid to be representative of most conspiracy theorists. IMHO.
