The NRA would not allow her to vote any other way. At this point in time, the NRA is more powerful than the elected government of the United States of America, and is a clear and present danger to the welfare and the security of this nation.

It is time to declare the NRA a terrorist organization, investigate its leadership under the Subversive Activities Control Act for advocating violence against the US Government, and close it down.

2. Our leaders, if they want to lead, need to care about more than keeping their seats.

Heitkamp was just elected and has 5+ years before she has to run again. She should have taken the opportunity to do what is right, and not what is expedient.

The NRA doesn't have near the power it and others think it does. If a candidate has the courage to paint the NRA's position as the extremist view it is, in most races it could be a plus, not a minus, to have their opposition.

But I agree that the NRA's policies constitute a clear danger to the US.
