Yesterday Angie who is part of the Tribe went to Enbridge's offices in Minnesota to issue them an eviction order, and when it wasn't accepted, she refused to leave and stopped work in the office.

(1,151 posts)but they will need money for lawyers. the oil company lawyers have already filed some kind of injunction and the courts will rule. I am afraid they arent actually 'sovereign '. There has never been a treaty with the native Americans that has not been broken or otherwise nullified by our courts. Those treaties are worthless. I would say to the native Americans that we gave you guys a shitload of worthless arid dessert to die on, why didnt you just die?

(6,119 posts)these protesters are protesting in freezing cold and wind.
a couple of women I know went up there for a day of support. they came back with some incredible pictures that they show others.
there is already sludge in the water and land. I hope others share this story with the congress members and to others.
