5. Who's really watching Fox News?

We constantly hear that Fox News' audience is older whites. Well I live in a very red state, and volunteer at one of my state's care facilities for veterans. Almost all the 150-plus veterans are white, with just a couple Hispanics. About 80 percent of the residents would be called elderly. Every resident is supplied with a wall mounted flat screen that gets cable in their room. Every common area has a humongous flat screen that gets cable. In ten years I have never seen a television tuned to Fox News, and these people watch a LOT of television. So I have to wonder how many older Americans are really watching Fox. Do they have a phantom audience, how accurate are these ratings?
