Elvin Daniel's sister Zina was murdered by her husband Radcliffe in October 2012. Zina had a restraining order against her husband, and even though that should have prevented him from being able to buy a gun, Radcliffe was able to exploit a dangerous loophole and buy a gun on the internet without a background check. I'm calling on Congress to pass common sense gun reform legislation that will:

Require a criminal background check for all gun sales
Ban assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines
Make gun trafficking a federal crime with tough penalties

Mayors Against Illegal Guns released this ad featuring Elvin Daniel, a gun owner and NRA member whose sister Zina Daniel was murdered in the Brookfield, Wis., spa shooting in October 2012 by her estranged husband.

1. He needs to un-join the NRA then.

HEARTBREAKING! Oh my gosh. That poor beautiful woman and the bystanders.

But if this brother is a dues-paying member of the NRA, he needs to start walking the walk. Cut ties with them and stop paying and empowering them.

I'd say he should ditch the 2A too, but I am not unreasonable. (Well, I am, but it's not appropriate here and now maybe.)

2. The leaders of the NRA are perverts

They are perverting our society, perverting our attempt to regulate weapons, and perverting our political system at large.
Here in Colorado they are fighting to remove domestic restraining orders from reason to deny on back ground checks.
As a gun owner I am ashamed of the perverts who pretend to protect my rights as a mask for their personal greed.
