If you look at all of the threads on DU at any given time, most of the problems complained of would be solved by politicians who did not owe a special interest. I know they would find ways to make their presence felt, but it would not be as near as effective as owning them! The protest will eventually start when things get so bad, Billy Joe Jim Bob's cable gets turned off and he can no longer watch Fix News. Then you will see the gloves come off in a big way as the corporate interests donate more money to the police benevolent fund! They will not let go of the power, we will have to take it! We will need millions of dedicated protestors to force them to make the changes necessary to preserve these United States of America! I will be there, will you?
