BERKELEY, Calif. —

She was fired more than a week ago, but an East Bay radio executive isn't going quietly after setting up house in her office and refusing to leave.

Summer Reese, the Executive Director of the Pacifica Foundation, has been occupying her office at Pacifica headquarters in Berkeley with her mother and supporters.

Pacifica Foundation operates a network of five independently operated, non-commercial, listener-supported radio stations including Berkeley’s KPFA.

KPFA producer Frank Sterling said the issue was becoming divisive at the five stations run by the Foundation. Even people who didn't like Reese did not approve of how she was treated by the board.

...but if anyone here believes Summer Reese and her supporters are leftist heroes defending Pacifica from corporatist Democrats or whatever, you're being grifted by grifters. Summer Reese is a nut, wholly unqualified for anything in radio, and not even a progressive. She's a Ron Paul supporter. Pacifica, deeply dysfunctional for years, was taken over by outright crazies.
