I think I'd stay (saying this as a young guy) and take my chances at 94 and alone
What difference does it make where he dies? Death is death. He's 94, he's GOING to die, and soon. Why not die where he loved to live?
I'm 54, btw.

Minimize it by being near friends/family, and visit the country place for long weekends. That's my plan. I'm 68, btw.
