Can Eminent Domain Be Used to Avert a Foreclosure Mess?

This California city thinks so. This isn't a new concept in this city. But the means testing and court battles are far from over.

Although we are far from solving the problem that created the Great Recession, and likely never will so long as traditional capitalism is in place, this move by the city is nothing short of remarkable. If they prevail many other munis are poised to do the same thing. I never thought I'd see eminent domain be used in this manner. Excellent innovation!
