Barack Obama - Reluctant Warrior

How reluctant is he?

"He’s so reluctant that his administration has launched a self-described “flood the zone” campaign to convince Congress to give the go ahead to launch a strike. So reluctant that, according to Reuters, “Obama is making individual calls himself to members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to press his case for action.” For a reluctant warrior, he's pushing his case for war pretty hard."

and, lest we forget--
"Obama was a reluctant warrior on Libya, too! According to National Journal back in 2011:

Drawn toward an important inflection point in his presidency this week, President Obama revealed none of the lead-with-the-chin swagger of his predecessor. Playing to type, he instead adopted the mien of the reluctant warrior.

Granted, he wasn’t reluctant enough back then that he didn’t eventually send in the cruise missiles."

This is so reminiscent of Bush doing a sales job on invading Iraq that is makes me ill. The weapons are slightly different, but the "threat to the world and to American national security," and the rhetoric of "these weapons could be directed at us," is precisely the same. The insistence that we are the sole power than can keep the world safe from the horror of an evil dictator, and that we have the responsibility to do so, is identical.

It is utterly sickening to see a Democratic version of the Republican war dance.

or a person who wants to know what the right-wing idiots are saying?

particularly since some of those right-wing idiots wield a lot of influence. I like to know my enemy,

More importantly, I didn't post the article due to its source, I posted it bec. it brings to light important FACTS which can be verified in a left-wing source, if you prefer that.

Is Reuters a right-wing source?

The point about Libya is a historical fact, and is certainly relevant to the current situation.
