Fascism Has Come to Roost in America

" As the famous American novelist Sinclair Lewis - who was the first American to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature - once said, "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross." The ever-rising culture of militarism in America and the never-ending conflict of war in far away countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan and hundreds of military bases the military industrial complex needs to support these conflicts, will only further fuel America's own fascism movement. From support of the State of Israel and its apartheid against the Palestinian people to the murders of more than 1,000 civilians in Pakistan by American drone strikes, to the extrajudicial murder by drone and without indictment of American citizens abroad since 9/11, to the militarism of our police and their attacks and efforts to ignore the basic civil liberties guaranteed every person in America via our Constitution. Yes, Fascism has arrived in America. We can see it every time a politician gets up to speak and we can hear it in the rhetoric that is used from media reports to speeches. We used to call America our country, but now the official term is the "Homeland". Much like Hitler's used the word the "Fatherland". I cringe every time I hear that word.

2. "Homeland" makes sense for a nation of impoverished immigrants looking for a home.

Give a few thousand years ago (less than a second ago in real Earth time), our real home is in Africa, including the advocates of the Fatherland idea.

in relation to the United States until the neocons and George W. Bush gained power.

I believe it was contained in the original literature of PNAC and was regularly used by its members and Mr. Bush Fascist Jr.

These fascists have many thinking two plus two equals three. If people would only think and actually see what's going on without denial.

don't agree with the concept of a Jewish homeland.

They just got lazy on the rewrite before they sold it here.

A loon is a bird....

The likes of Sarah Palin , Michelle Bachmann and Paul Ryan are Fascists.
