Nance Greggs: Wha, wha, WHAT?

Not that the Romney campaign hasn’t been just chock full of silliness thus far, but the past week has been particularly amusing. The MSM bobbleheads, along with their GOP string-pullers, are beside themselves, gasping in disbelief as Romney’s numbers continue to plummet.

I remember the launch of Romney’s campaign. It was met with a smug this will be a slam-dunk attitude by many who, I can only assume, were completely unfamiliar with the man, his demeanor and his background.

It would seem clear to anyone with a dollop of common sense (and that may be the problem here, the incredible lack thereof) that Romney was a catastrophe waiting to happen – and he lost no time proving it.

For my friends across the aisle, let me spell it out for you. And, as always, feel free to seek assistance when you don’t understand the big words...

There were members who didn't care for her outspoken kick-assitude in supporting Obama.

They would start shit in her threads to try to get them locked and she finally said fuck this shit.

That's my take on it.

That Nance went away to become an even better writer?

Damn, that is just an absolutely brutal assessment of the Romney/Ryan campaign. That may be some of the best, what, 8 or 10 paragraphs, that I have seen written about this Presidential election. I must show that to some friends.

Do you mind if I share?

... to insult any of those groups. I think it may just be a byproduct of his callous disregard for others (or, "others&quot that are not like himself. Disregard, disinterest, disdain... Probably disinterest, come to think of it. "Those people" -- which in Mitt's world are about 99% of us -- are sort of like a mystical tale to him, something's he's heard about but never really believed in, or cared to experience firsthand. I think his interest in the presidency is more about harvesting another "company" and less about serving others in any capacity. Sort of like when someone complains that their job would be great if it weren't for the customers. And anyone like that really doesn't have any clue what the actual job is all about.

I suspect we're almost like inhabitants of a zoo to him, a zoo he doesn't care to visit, and refuses to help support.

Every single person he has ever willingly interacted with, is a 1 percenter. He cannot even fathom how to relate to us peons, and he feels a little dirty even trying. When he pretends he "cares" in his speeches of the past week or so, he probably goes right to one of his homes and takes a shower.

The Republicans chose the least likeable, least sincere, least intelligent candidate possible. That’s their real problem, the elephant-in-the-room who consistently takes a dump on some portion of the voting population at least once every news cycle. And pretending not to notice that incontinent pachyderm, and the reaction to the shit he exudes, is laughable.

Well, in combination, just about possibly. But I think Romney is intelligent (and far more intelligent than Perry or Bachmann, and probably more than Cain or Santorum), just completely lacking in empathy (a trait he shares with Gingrich, and Santorum). He could be the least likeable of the bunch, but that depends on your point of view - pretty much all of them are repugnant to anyone on the left (Cain seems to have a sense of humour, which may save him; but his attitude to women looked very dubious). Sincere? Bachmann is sincerely nuts; Perry and Santorum see themselves as sincerely religious, but Santorum in particular has a hypocritical hatred of people not like him; Gingrich is even less sincere than Romney, and who knows with Cain.

The Repubs were screwed once they got down to their debates, when they rejected Huntsman, and forced Romney so far to the right he couldn't fake a return to the centre. They had a bigger problem than their final choice of candidate.
